PolicyVector
Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PolicyVector, including the desktop study application, native iOS and Android Reader, and related website provided by Graywheel ("PolicyVector," "Graywheel," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using PolicyVector, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PolicyVector. These Terms are not legal advice, and you should consult your own advisor if you need legal guidance about your use of the app.
1. The Service
PolicyVector helps users organize policy materials, search and review local document libraries, create study artifacts, import encrypted Reader bundles, create newly encrypted Reader bundle copies for user-directed sharing, and optionally use local or cloud-assisted study features. PolicyVector is designed as a study aid. It is not an official government, agency, employer, or examination authority product.
PolicyVector does not guarantee any test, promotional, employment, legal, operational, or training outcome. You are responsible for verifying all study materials against the official sources that apply to you.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding agreement to use PolicyVector. If you use PolicyVector on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, accounts, license credentials, connected provider accounts, API keys, and any other credentials used with PolicyVector.
3. License to Use PolicyVector
Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, Graywheel grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PolicyVector for your own study and preparation purposes during the applicable license term.
Unless a purchase page or written agreement says otherwise, a PolicyVector annual license is a single-year, non-renewing license for one individual desktop user. Updates made available during the license term are included, but Graywheel may change, add, or remove features over time.
Sharing study materials through a Reader bundle does not transfer, sublicense, or extend your PolicyVector software license. Each person who uses PolicyVector must have any license or entitlement required for that use.
4. Payments, Taxes, and Refunds
Prices, license terms, taxes, and payment details are shown at checkout. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment for your purchase.
Refunds may be handled case by case or as required by applicable law. Access may be suspended or revoked if payment is disputed, reversed, fraudulent, or otherwise not completed.
5. Your Content and Study Materials
You keep your rights in the documents, study materials, prompts, outputs, notes, and other content you provide to or create with PolicyVector ("User Content"). You grant Graywheel only the limited rights needed to operate, support, secure, and improve the app as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload, import, export, copy, share, process, or study any material you use with PolicyVector. You are responsible for selecting authorized recipients and complying with applicable law, copyright, contracts, and agency, employer, confidentiality, and records-handling rules. Do not use PolicyVector with confidential, restricted, or regulated materials unless you are authorized to do so and your use complies with all applicable rules.
Reader sharing creates a newly encrypted package and a separate transfer phrase. Encryption reduces exposure during transfer but cannot guarantee confidentiality after you disclose the phrase or a recipient obtains the decrypted material. Recipients must be authorized to possess the material. Graywheel cannot recall, revoke, or delete copies held by recipients or third-party sharing services.
6. Local, Cloud, Google, and AI Features
PolicyVector is local-first, but some features may involve third-party services when you choose to use them. These may include licensing, payment, update, Google Drive, Google Docs, cloud AI, or other integrations. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
If you connect Google features, you authorize PolicyVector to access, use, store, and transfer Google user data only as needed for the requested import or export workflows described in the Privacy Policy. Google features are optional. You can use PolicyVector without connecting Google Drive or Google Docs.
Google Drive and Google Docs features are limited to user-directed actions, such as selecting Drive files through Google Picker, importing the Google Doc or spreadsheet you explicitly select, and exporting PolicyVector-generated study materials that you choose to send to Google Drive. PolicyVector does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or use Google Drive or Google Docs content to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy and any Google account, Google Drive, or Google Docs terms that apply to you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import, export, copy, process, or share any Google Drive or Google Docs content you use with PolicyVector.
You may revoke PolicyVector's Google access from your Google Account security settings. Revoking Google access may stop Google import/export features from working until you reconnect them.
AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, fabricated details, misplaced emphasis, or confident-sounding conclusions that are not supported by the source materials. PolicyVector's AI features are study aids only and are not a substitute for official policy, agency guidance, training materials, legal advice, or your own professional judgment. You are responsible for independently verifying any AI output against authoritative sources before relying on it.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use PolicyVector in a way that violates law, policy, contract obligations, or third-party rights.
- Upload, import, export, or process materials you are not authorized to use.
- Use Reader sharing to distribute unauthorized or restricted material or to bypass PolicyVector licensing.
- Share, resell, sublicense, lease, or transfer your license except with Graywheel's written permission.
- Reverse engineer, modify, bypass licensing, disable security controls, or interfere with app integrity.
- Use PolicyVector to create deceptive, harmful, unlawful, or unauthorized content.
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Graywheel systems or third-party services.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how PolicyVector accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. By using PolicyVector, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership
Graywheel and its licensors own PolicyVector, including the software, website, design, trademarks, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer ownership of PolicyVector to you.
You may submit feedback or suggestions. If you do, you grant Graywheel permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
10. Beta Features and Changes
PolicyVector may offer beta, preview, experimental, or local-development features. Those features may be incomplete, changed, limited, or removed at any time. Graywheel may update the app, website, licensing systems, and these Terms as the product evolves.
11. Termination
You may stop using PolicyVector at any time. Graywheel may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create security or legal risk, fail to complete payment, or if continued access would harm Graywheel, other users, or third parties.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions.
12. Disclaimers
PolicyVector is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.
Graywheel does not warrant that PolicyVector will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every system, or that study outputs will be complete or correct.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, business interruption, exam results, employment outcomes, or reliance on study outputs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel's total liability for claims relating to PolicyVector will not exceed the amount you paid for PolicyVector in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of PolicyVector after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
