PolicyVector

Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PolicyVector, including the desktop study application, native iOS and Android Reader, and related website provided by Graywheel ("PolicyVector," "Graywheel," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using PolicyVector, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PolicyVector. These Terms are not legal advice, and you should consult your own advisor if you need legal guidance about your use of the app.

1. The Service

PolicyVector helps users organize policy materials, search and review local document libraries, create study artifacts, import encrypted Reader bundles, create newly encrypted Reader bundle copies for user-directed sharing, optionally synchronize eligible study materials through encrypted Live Sync, and use local or cloud-assisted study features. PolicyVector is designed as a study aid. It is not an official government, agency, employer, or examination authority product.

PolicyVector does not guarantee any test, promotional, employment, legal, operational, or training outcome. You are responsible for verifying all study materials against the official sources that apply to you.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement to use PolicyVector. If you use PolicyVector on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, accounts, license credentials, connected provider accounts, API keys, and any other credentials used with PolicyVector.

3. License to Use PolicyVector

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, Graywheel grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PolicyVector for your own study and preparation purposes during the applicable license term.

Unless a purchase page or written agreement says otherwise, a PolicyVector annual license is a single-year, non-renewing license for one individual user across supported desktop and PolicyVector Reader clients. Concurrent use remains subject to the device and session limits enforced by the licensing service. Updates made available during the license term are included, but Graywheel may change, add, or remove features over time.

Sharing study materials through a Reader bundle does not transfer, sublicense, or extend your PolicyVector software license. Each person who uses PolicyVector must have any license or entitlement required for that use.

4. Payments, Taxes, and Refunds

Prices, license terms, taxes, and payment details are shown at checkout. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable payment for your purchase.

Refunds may be handled case by case or as required by applicable law. Access may be suspended or revoked if payment is disputed, reversed, fraudulent, or otherwise not completed.

5. Your Content and Study Materials

You keep your rights in the documents, study materials, prompts, outputs, notes, and other content you provide to or create with PolicyVector ("User Content"). You grant Graywheel only the limited rights needed to operate, support, secure, and improve the app as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload, import, export, copy, share, process, or study any material you use with PolicyVector. You are responsible for selecting authorized recipients and complying with applicable law, copyright, contracts, and agency, employer, confidentiality, and records-handling rules. Do not use PolicyVector with confidential, restricted, or regulated materials unless you are authorized to do so and your use complies with all applicable rules.

Reader sharing creates a newly encrypted package and a separate transfer phrase. Encryption reduces exposure during transfer but cannot guarantee confidentiality after you disclose the phrase or a recipient obtains the decrypted material. Recipients must be authorized to possess the material. Graywheel cannot recall, revoke, or delete copies held by recipients or third-party sharing services.

6. Local, Cloud, Google, Microsoft OneDrive, and AI Features

PolicyVector is local-first, but some features may involve third-party services when you choose to use them. These may include licensing, payment, update, Google Drive, Google Docs, Microsoft OneDrive, cloud AI, or other integrations. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

If you connect Google features, you authorize PolicyVector to access, use, store, and transfer Google user data only as needed for the requested import or export workflows described in the Privacy Policy. Google features are optional. You can use PolicyVector without connecting Google Drive or Google Docs.

Google Drive and Google Docs features are limited to user-directed actions, such as selecting Drive files through Google Picker, importing the Google Doc or spreadsheet you explicitly select, and exporting PolicyVector-generated study materials that you choose to send to Google Drive. PolicyVector does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or use Google Drive or Google Docs content to train generalized AI or machine learning models.

Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy and any Google account, Google Drive, or Google Docs terms that apply to you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import, export, copy, process, or share any Google Drive or Google Docs content you use with PolicyVector.

You may revoke PolicyVector's Google access from your Google Account security settings. Revoking Google access may stop Google import/export features from working until you reconnect them.

If you connect OneDrive, you authorize PolicyVector to use Microsoft services and the permissions you grant to browse file metadata, import files you select, and export study materials you request, as described in the Privacy Policy. OneDrive is optional and separate from Microsoft licensing sign-in. Desktop access includes read/write permission for your files; iOS Reader import uses read permission. These permissions are broader than the individual files you select, but PolicyVector uses them for the requested import and export workflows.

Your OneDrive use is subject to Microsoft's applicable terms, including the Microsoft Services Agreement where applicable, and any work or school account agreements and administrator restrictions. You are responsible for having permission to transfer the selected material to or from Microsoft, complying with agency and employer confidentiality and records-handling rules, and managing cloud storage, retention, sharing, and recipient access. Reader bundles are encrypted packages; ordinary raw exports are not protected by Reader-bundle encryption. Microsoft account limits, outages, or consent restrictions may prevent transfers.

Disconnecting OneDrive in PolicyVector removes the desktop's saved connection but does not revoke Microsoft account consent or delete files already exported to OneDrive. You must manage consent through Microsoft or your organization and delete cloud copies separately. Graywheel cannot recall copies held by recipients or third-party services. Deleting a PolicyVector account does not delete OneDrive exports.

AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, fabricated details, misplaced emphasis, or confident-sounding conclusions that are not supported by the source materials. PolicyVector's AI features are study aids only and are not a substitute for official policy, agency guidance, training materials, legal advice, or your own professional judgment. You are responsible for independently verifying any AI output against authoritative sources before relying on it.

7. Encrypted Live Sync

Live Sync is an optional hosted service for synchronizing eligible study materials between supported PolicyVector devices. It requires an eligible account, compatible software, an internet connection, and compliance with applicable device, storage, and service limits. PolicyVector's local study features remain available without enabling Live Sync, subject to the license and other conditions in these Terms.

When you enable Live Sync, you authorize Graywheel and its infrastructure providers to transmit, host, copy, process, and delete client-encrypted User Content and the limited operational metadata needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the service. Eligible content is encrypted on an authorized device before upload. Separately enabling Include Policy Library extends this authorization to original and redacted PDFs, highlights, policy views, and related library data. Graywheel does not receive plaintext study or policy content, private encryption keys, or recovery code, but the service can observe the metadata described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for protecting your recovery code, securing your devices, reviewing the list of authorized devices, and removing access from any device you no longer control. If you lose every authorized device and the recovery code, your encrypted content may be permanently unrecoverable. Graywheel cannot recover or decrypt that content for you.

Live Sync is a synchronization convenience, not a guaranteed backup or archival service. You remain responsible for maintaining any local or independent backups required by your organization, employer, agency, or applicable law. Graywheel does not guarantee uninterrupted synchronization, delivery of push hints, preservation of every historical revision, or recovery from device loss, user deletion, corruption, service interruption, incompatible software, or loss of encryption credentials.

Removing a device revokes that device without deleting the workspace. Disabling Live Sync on one device does not by itself delete the server workspace. Deleting a synchronized collection everywhere creates an authoritative deletion record intended to prevent stale devices from restoring it. Start Over With Live Sync deletes the synchronized workspace and disconnects all devices without deleting local policy PDFs, redaction work, or local study records. The Privacy Policy explains the associated retention and deletion periods.

Graywheel may apply or change reasonable quotas, supported content categories, device limits, protocol and compatibility requirements, and abuse-prevention controls. Graywheel may limit, suspend, or disable Live Sync when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, address abuse, or perform maintenance. Encryption does not authorize you to synchronize content that you are not permitted to possess, process, or transfer.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

9. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how PolicyVector accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. By using PolicyVector, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

10. Ownership

Graywheel and its licensors own PolicyVector, including the software, website, design, trademarks, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not transfer ownership of PolicyVector to you.

You may submit feedback or suggestions. If you do, you grant Graywheel permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

11. Beta Features and Changes

PolicyVector may offer beta, preview, experimental, or local-development features. Those features may be incomplete, changed, limited, or removed at any time. Graywheel may update the app, website, licensing systems, and these Terms as the product evolves.

12. Termination

You may stop using PolicyVector at any time. Graywheel may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create security or legal risk, fail to complete payment, or if continued access would harm Graywheel, other users, or third parties.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Disclaimers

PolicyVector is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

Graywheel does not warrant that PolicyVector will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every system, or that study outputs will be complete or correct.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, business interruption, exam results, employment outcomes, or reliance on study outputs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Graywheel's total liability for claims relating to PolicyVector will not exceed the amount you paid for PolicyVector in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we may also provide notice through PolicyVector or request renewed acceptance where required. Your continued use of PolicyVector after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the affected service.
